As a way to update campus classroom space, the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) aimed to earn support for a classroom renovation project as part of UF’s first giving day campaign.
In collaboration with other UF Giving Day messaging pieces, this video helped garner 97 gifts totaling $6,411.25 in donations from alumni in one day. The video was used on social media and in emails to encourage alumni to “stand up and holler” on February 26 – UF’s first giving day event. The video was also included in the UF Giving Day website page for the fund effort. Additionally, the video can be utilized for continued promotion and communications about supporting classroom renovation efforts for the college.
The video received nearly 2,000 views on Facebook with 61 reactions, 19 shares, and one comment with how much the donor “loved” the classroom renovation giving project as part of UF Giving Day. On Twitter, the video received 1,226 impressions and had 30 engagements (including liking, retweeting, or commenting). The video was purposefully created to be under two minutes for easy sharing on social media.
